Play Your Cards Right, Take Your Pick, Strike It Lucky, Bullseye and The Price Is Right are coming back. This time with regular contestants and an "all-new epic endgame". Hmmm.

So Gameshow Marathon is reborn. I'm a little surprised Blankety Blank isn't on the list - given the David Walliams pilot (or "one-off Christmas special if this doesn't go to series"). Cue another round of butchered title sequences and audiences drowning out the theme music...! Oh and the random talking heads having to explain the concept of a darts show to anyone under the age of 30. Maybe I'm being too cynical Very Happy

The question is... Will a speedboat be a prize on Bullseye?

A even bigger question.....will they show the front caps like they did on the last gameshow marathon? I know a certain poster liked to sing along to them on here last time...

I think I’d have preferred an Alan Carr led UK version of Ellen’s ‘Game of Games’ rather than constantly harking to the past.

Ugh, can't they have got a better host?

No, he's excellent.

Sounds like they'll be sacrificed up against Strictly this autumn.

Did Strike it Lucky and Take My Pick feature in the Gameshow Marathon?

They can't really win. Imagine the reaction here had it been Stephen Mulhern. Alan Carr is at least a new face for ITV.

Think they've been trying to find a format for him for some time. He was supposed to host a Singalong Live spin-off from SNT but it got dropped. Sure he was linked to something else as well.

Take Your Pick did but not Strike it Lucky.

I believe he recorded a pilot for Play Your Cards Right.

Indeed. A host with a voice that is many magnitudes more irritating than the combined sounds of extra sharp nails being scraped down a blackboard, two large pieces of polystyrene being rubbed together, and extra high pitched microphone/speaker feedback, with all of the noises simultaneously being amplified at full volume through the speakers on the main stage at Glastonbury!
