Al Murray has been back a few weeks now with his Happy Hour.

Is it me or is his comedy a little tired and boring now?

After a few times of the same gags, it feels tired and the show needs and new look. I think it was better when he was on Saturday nights in January-March, leave autumn schedule for something different.

Also why is UTV the only region not showing it on Friday nights? They have it on the following Thursday.

UTV are showing a regional programme at 9pm on Fridays so they are showing Wire in the Blood in the 10pm slot, an hour later than network. Al Murray's Happy Hour is then shown the following Thursday after News at Ten.

I think it hinges on which guests they have appearing-- and how much they play along with Al. If you get a live-wire guest such as Phil Glennister or John Barrowman, then it's definitely a good watch in my view.

I don't mind the same old gags, I feel the in-jokes are part of Al's character. I suppose it depends how much you like Mr Murray!
