Why do some adverts have shaky video on some channels?

Has anyone noticed that on some channels the adverts are a bit shaky. It's more apparent if the advert contains movement of some kind. The most common one I've seen lately is the Currys PC World ad when the stuff they're advertising scrolls on and off screen.

Sounds more like an issue with your TVs refresh rate. I sometimes find it happens when my TV struggles to smooth something out, it jitters for a second or so.

If you have MotionFlow, Natural Motion etc. enabled - all bets are off. That's just your TV guessing what the in-between frames should be. I always disable it on any TV I own. I like to see the original broadcast, warts and all, not a guesstimated mess.

Agreed. I remember watching A View To A Kill with it turned on and it made the production, particularly the end scenes, look really cheap.

Although I do switch mine on for stuff that's 25p when it shouldn't be.

So you probably have it on more than off these days Razz

Which is probably more than half of TV made these days Razz

Lol yes - but often you'll get stuff, either on IPTV or YouTube that's 25p when it should be 50. MotionFlow does help then.

Or the repeats of EastEnders on Drama Razz
