Speaking of odd ads, there's one from my distant past that still bothers me. This is what I remember about it, bear in mind that it was more than 35 years ago and I could be totally wrong:

The ad starts on a blank set, a woman comes on with a vacuum cleaner. She said a few lines and then walks off. The camera pans down to the vacuum cleaner and just holds on that. Nothing happens for what seems like an eternity then a block of text appears saying something. "do not adjust your set. there is nothing wrong with the sound

I've looked on TV Ark, Youtube and other ad websites but to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas?

Advertising a very quiet vacuum cleaner, perchance?

I remember a local advert *Tyne Tees* from the early 2000s for wheelchairs (?) with the tagline "Five wheels are better than four wheels are better than three wheels are better than 2". Anyone remember?

It'd be for the Quingo, I'd imagine.

Crooke's One-a-Day Multivitamins launched as '8 vitamins and 2 minerals', later to become 'great minerals and extra vitamins' over the years. Found the initial advert on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNBiPnWAZWo

...and the revised version (with the visual references to the number 8 intact!) turns up at the end of this off-air clip, uploaded the other day to Olly Ashmole's YT collection:

There was one for Mother's Pride bread in Scotland in the mid 90s - the only notable thing really was that it ended with a kid sitting playing a Sega Game Gear, but the sound effects and music were from a Mega Drive game. One for the retro gamers really!

Is this a good candidate for this thread? Despite nobody remembering that this drink existed, this has stuck in my memory since I first saw it

I remember it, I actually quite liked it.

Was called "Freekee soda" at first, until they had to change the name for some reason.

Yes that’s what the ad is about!

There was an advert in the late 90s/early 00s, and I believe it was for Tango, where it starts off in an office block and ends off on cliffs?

Am I correct?

Yes you are! It was for Blackcurrant Tango and won quite a few advertising awards. It even has its own Wikipedia page:
