Advertising of BBC World

Not knowing much about BBC World, apart from what I've read on this forum, I thought id pose this question after something I saw yesterday.

During BRITISH Eurosports coverage of AS Roma v Lazio last night, one of the ad breaks featured an advert for BBC World. This was promoting some sort of coverage of the Euro/EU. If I see it again on Eurosport I will try and get some captures of it or something.

Do BBC World advertise often on other channels? Also why on British Eurosport during a programme only shown on the UK version?

I can't say I'm a regular viewer of Eurosport, but did the ad break have any UK-specific ads in it? Perhaps they sell spots on a Europe-wide basis, even if it's a UK-only program?

Yes there was adverts for a UK only SMS compertition and for an English language Italian Football magazine.
