Subtitling company #1
Examples of adverts they subtitle: BT, Churchill, Kellogg's, Alliance and Leicester
Subtitling style: Similar to that of IMS, but sound effects are described in lowercase. This subtitling style can also be found on some programmes that the MTV-owned channels show.

Subtitling company #2
Examples of adverts they subtitle: Direct Line, Chevrolet, Vauxhall, "Get Set For Digital" adverts
Subtitling style: Similar to that of ITFC, except bracketed sound effects are in lowercase (why can't they do the red background sound effects in lowercase too? Seems a bit weird to describe sound effects in both lower and uppercase.) The US style hyphen symbol is used (like in the States) when one person speaks immediately after the other. Song descriptions are on a blue background.

Subtitling company #3
Examples of adverts they subtitle: B&Q, Sudafed, ING Direct, Nationwide, HSBC
Subtitling style: Weird sound effect descriptions. They're typed out as if someone was actually speaking the described sound effect. Rarely used text colours, like red, are used by this subtitling company. To continue a sentence that's too large for two lines of subtitle, the second line of subtitle ends in ... and the first line of the next subtitle begins with the ... thing. Songs are subtitled US-style, with the # symbol at the beginning and the end of the same line.

So does anybody know who these subtitling companies are? Thanks if you can help.

I like your names for them. Makes things much more simplistic.

SC1, SC2 and SC3 surely?

No that would indicate that SC is a channel, whereas the adverts could be spread across different networks.

I imagine it's I1-s-v1, S1-s-v2 etc
