Hello! Did anyone see "V for Vendetta"? If so, what did you think of Adrian Finnegan's performance?
What an awful, awful film
It really thinks it's so clever, so politically astute.
In fact its a pile of poo, with some of the most ham-fisted performances I have ever witnessed.
Steven Fry and a Benny Hill tribute barely rescue this film from the absolute depths of despair.
I'm afraid I haven't a clue what the said news reader looks like, so I can't comment on his appearance- I do remember seeing a Sky News feed (from the old studio with old graphics- the film was delayed in its intended release November 05).

yep, watched this over the weekend - very disappointing. so disappointing that rather than paying attention to it, I was wondering how long it would take for somebody to start a thread on here about Finnegan being in it!
Must disagree - I'm impressed it had the b*lls to take on some of the matters it did. It wasn't perfect, but compared to a lot of the dire, braindead Hollywood rubbish out there, it makes a big difference to have something with a bit of intelligence.
Still doesn't beat Bob Friend's performance in (the UK Version of) Independence Day.
Bob was seen around the world in ID4, it wasn't a UK localisation. The reasoning behind it was that Fox/News Corp were looking to launch a US News network and initial thinking was to use the Sky News name. Later they went with Fox and thus Fox News Channel was born.
Bob also appeared in Mission Impossible, Jeremy Thompson in Volcano (as a reporter), former Sky News reporter Aernout Van Lynden has a key role in Behind Enemy Lines in forwarding the plot.
