Is Chiles off to another network?

Well there is certainly a massive difference in approach between Chiles and Pougatch. His contract I expect impossible to justify really given the dwindling football rights, but the immediacy of the decision seems a bit off. Often the way though with ITV and their departing football presenters.

I wonder who will host ITV's RWC later in the year, and as more of an 'all-rounder' whether Pougatch is a candidate for that, or if Steve Rider will be getting a call again.

Is it because Adrian has been on BBC 5 Live for some time.

By the way this is presented I think ITV have been really harsh with getting rid of him.

Mark Pougatch is staying with BBC 5 Live, albeit in a reduced role.

Or even John Inverdale considering he hosted the tennis for them.

I'm guessing it's because I'm only an amateur football fan, but I think I'm in the minority. I thought he was okay.

I thought he was ok too. He said what the fans thought rather that being silly like certain people on the other channel.

Perhaps it was because he's starting to look like Benny Hill ?

Very old joke... Done to death when he presented The One Show, and mentioned on Working Lunch.

I wonder if Mark will do less work for premier league tv.

Wouldn't have thought it would impact that too much considering it's Champions League and internationals he'll be doing, meaning no Premier League fixtures at those times.

In 6 months time it's just internationals, so even more time to do other work

ITV still have Champions League highlights don't they? Rumour was that BT were considering to resell a couple of games to ITV to ensure that they meet the FTA requirement, which will be difficult to fulfil once BT Sport 1 has been removed from DTT.
