BBCi-thinkit'sabigpileofrubbishwithasillylongname-News isn't anywhere near as impressive as Sky News Active. Where is your voting? Where are your different weather bulletins, where is your 5 min 30 second headline round-up, where is your feed of Fox News, where is your FTSE ticker, where is your news ticker... etc

It is not we who are BBC biased, but you c@t who are irrevocably biased toward SNA

BBCi may not have the irrelevent bells and whistles of SNA but it scores over SNA in a number of important respects:

5'30' for a news round up is far too long - the whole idea of these services is a quick hit of news - so that makes SNA the worst of the two. The 'different' weather bulletins take up far too much time as well.

Where is Fox News - why bother with regurgitating some second rate American news network just because it's owned by your company - the real question here is: why has SNA dropped the business news since Sept 11th - could it be they can't be bothered with it (or can't afford it) any more?

Where is the vote - no doubt it's on it's way, once SNA have screwed some more money out of the BBC for the service on their platform. Also the vote questions on SNA are bland and irrelevent, so why bother in the first place, especially since you get charged 25p for the privilege.

Where is the news ticker - consigned to the dustbin of history one hopes - another waste of time and space - looks good but tells you nothing.

Where is your FTSE ticker - what you mean that thing that means I have to wait five minutes to find out how much my Zeneca shares are worth? - another triumph of style over content!

Forget it, c@t - SNA had the lead for 15 months, which they've managed to lose in one day. Very Happy

Nice roundup there Thomas. My thoughts exactly.

It is nothing more than 4 video feeds attacthed to the existing BBC text service, which I say isn't really that impressive. I really though they might have come up with something a bit more spectacular but then I remembered it was the BBC. Silly me.

These votes prove nothing, because the majority of you lot like the BBC.

It's not that we like the BBC (I never watched BBC News 24 at all ever! until Sky News thought that font size 18 was required for me to read a max of 7 words on the screen and i needed a big red blob in the bottom left to tell be what i was watching was FOOTBALL(Thank god they put that there, i though i was watching ping pong!)) anyway what was i saying...

As i sid in my eairler post the news 24 service is alot faster to use, a lot less 'In your Face' and does the job nicely
