No "if" about it! It closes today!

It's just Virgin Media today, otherwise it's 6pm on Sunday for Freeview and 6am Monday for Sky viewers.

Incorrect. I don't know about Freeview as I can't pick up Ch15, but it finishes at midday on Sky. Hence the following statement on the Sky EPG:

Oh didn't realise they were pulling the plug on the Sky feed for ABC1, it's still on Freeview this morning and I'd have guesseed it'll be there until Sunday at 6pm. Someone forgot to tell the EPG people at Virgin that the channel will be dropped, as the listings are still there....

Well, no doubt that's Virgin for you Confused . Btw, the link to your pic upload isn't working.

I'm waiting to see whether abc1 do a "now & next" ECP/trailer at 11:30 Laughing

It's not unusual for channels to be shut down at short notice. Remember PLUS, which ended part way through a commercial break to be replaced by ITV3 on Sky a couple of hours later?

Yea, that's been up there for at least a week.
It is a shame that the channel is closing today (on Sky and Virgin) anyway. I can't see it staying on Freeview on its own until Sunday, although that is how it started out.

Perhaps this is normal for abc1, but they seem to have been doing alot of Disney channel trailers during their last hour on Sky.

Apologies, I only watch when I want to gloat about channels closing Laughing

EDIT: 12:00
Not a mention - just an ident and a black screen. Nothing like going out with a wimper rather than a bang! Confused How disappointing!

ABC 1 has been just ended on freeview. The screen went blank after Home Improvement.

What a wonderful way to mark the end of 3 years of broadcasting - a short ident followed by a black screen.
So glad they went to so much trouble!
