I see that ABC World News Tonight ran a report from the BBC World Affairs Editor, John Simpson, as their second package tonight, credited prominently with a BBC logo bottom left. Peter Jennings introduced as 'From one of our long time colleagues at ABC, the BBCs John Simpson' or similar.

This was followed by further pictures from the BBC, and the clip of the BBCs William Reeve broadcasting live as a bomb/missile exploded very close to the BBC base in Kabul yesterday.

The BBC seem to have had a good day in covering this story - though the explosion also brought home to me the very real personal risks reporters take to bring us the most accurate news.
