I wouldn't be surprised if this was printed out and posted on the staff noticeboard at BBC North tomorrow! It's V. amusing indeed!

I love things like that, I don't know why. It just appeals to my sense of humour.

Have I understood correctly that what's happening here is as follows:

This Christa woman was/is a Calendar presenter who has/will jump(ed) ship from ITV Yorkshire to BBC North, and Look North have reported on her iminant arrival in a very offbeat fashion?

Or have I completely misunderstood?

It's just that everyone's written in very vague terms, which tend to presume all readers already know the story (AND I DONT!)

Does anyone know how to send whole internet pages by e-mail? I want to send this creation to Look North.

Christa's departure from YTV (which was announced on 30th May) was a HUGE shock; she wanted to stay at YTV until the end of July, but her bosses insisted that she cleared her desk and left immediately. She started at the BBC this week and will be making her presenting debut alongside Harry Gration on 3rd September. Last night was the first time that Christa was introduced to Look North viewers as a new presenter; and in true BBC North style, the film that preceeded her being introduced was done in a very offbeat fashion and involved Harry repeatedly seeing Christa but not knowing who she was!
