9:24.55 - GMTV fades to black
9:25.00 - Carlton ident, voiceover: 'A very good morning, and welcome to (Wednesday) morning on Carlton. This Morning is here at 10.30, and before Trisha a look ahead to tonight on ITV.'
9.25:15 - Trailer of some kind, leads into Trisha
That's generally the same for Anglia and Meridian.
Does anyone know why they have a trailer after the ident??
Whilst on the question of 9:25am, can somebody shed some light on the reason why the ITV Breakfast franchise runs until 9:25am before the regions take over. Why not 9am ?

breakfast tv on Itv was originally there to fill in times in which channels would not broadcast. Before TV-AM, all the ITV channels would start up at 9:25, joining ITV for Schools and Colleges at 9:30. TV-AM fitted into the slot before that at a time when there was no demand for early-morning television. This demand, as you can see, has changed. Broadcasters probably do want to pull it back to 9am, but GMTV probably don't want to give up the extra 25 minutes.
Well if not 9am, why not give GMTV 5 more minutes until 9:30am, it seems a much more sensible start time.

well, i've just explained why they haven't done it till now...perhaps they don't do it at the moment because of trisha...does it go on until 10 am? If it does, what's the point in ending a 35 minute programme at 10:05 am?

Didn't they also used to have a five minute news update at 9.25?

something like that...i'm not too sure actually...breakfast television is older than i am...i wouldn't know
That would make sense to me, GMTV don't have a news bulletin after 8:30 (do they ?) so why not go to ITN at 9:25, then programming commences at 9:30. I would do this if I was ITV scheduler.
