I take it from the backgrounds on his pictures that the presentation for the show will remain the same as before? All that will happen is that Eddie Mair will now present and there will be a change of set?

Don't forget that the programme will be 30 minutes instead of 15

Surprised there have been no comments yet - or is everyone watching the Sky News Ireland launch?!

Not bad so far - but madness having it head-to-head with Channel 4 News and Five News.

The stand-up bits are reminiscent of the ITV News Channel promos.

Right.

Nicer, seems like a proper news show at last, studio is nice. However that spinning 7 is horrid and why do they use that horrid drone behind reports still. If you are going to have musi behind reports either use fast and loud music like Newsbeat or, well don't use music at all.

That walk at the start though, "I'm Fiona Bruce, watch me walk"

Very swish in my opinion. Well done indeed. Eddie seems a good choice too.

Haha! Eddie is fantastic: "you may have a sense of deja vu - not from the new set which we stole from The Day Today..." Very Happy

I want that table. It's great.

Day Today line was fab. I'm liking this new show, the old one was tripe.

Nice comment from Eddie there - "Now you might have a sense of deja vu. Not about the new set, which we stole from The Day Today, but.."!

EDIT: Looks like I'm just the slightest bit late on that one, me!

It is slightly The Day Today-like. Nice though.

I agree that they need to get rid of the background music. And the BBC logo on the location aston is really tiny and squashed.

Is this guy Paddy in disguise? Easy-to-remember number. heehee

Is 60 seconds getting a mini revamp too out of interest?
