It's an ad infested and very buggy EPG that's been downloaded as a software update to a lot of DTT boxes that replaces whatever EPG came with the box to start with. It puts the box into standby at 3am every morning whether you want it to or not. Even if you chose to go back to the original EPG, the Teletext Extra one eventually manages to sneak back on!
It was rolled out initially to Thomson/Ferguson and Grundig boxes, and is gradually being rolled out to all DTT boxes. Assuming you've got a DTT box, whether it's Freeview or TopUp ... If you didn't know about it by now, you soon will do!
