60 seconds on Blue Peter

I noticed this evening that the episode of blue peter had the backing music from BBC Choice's 60 seconds news during the 'stings' between the films.

Does anyone know why it was used and how they got to use it?

I noticed it too! But from what I heard, it doen't only get used on 60 seconds. It appears in different programmes!

I'll guess that someone from the BP production team was watching 60secs and liked the backing. Either that or it's become a 'generic theme' within TVC. Has also appeared on DIY.tv as well

My guess is it's library music.

If it was custom made for 60 seconds - I somehow don't think they would let it be used elsewhere in a kids show of all things!

I'll keep an ear out for it.
