What is the difference between the online bulletins and the tv ones then? I haven't seen either - but will be watching both later this evening.

Cheers!

The online bulletin doesn't have the 'info screen' because the window is too small for the little text.

Ah yes, I understand now - watched the bulletin at 9pm and yours posted here Asa (cheers again!) and understand why it has to be different.

I quite like the style with having much more news than is actually spoken due to the little screens!

I like the fact that although there was no TV bulletin at 11, there is still one on the internet (even though its there twice with VT clock in between Smile

Question for Nicky...

I noticed the strapline at 11. I personally would have thought it would look great if there was an aston crawl (ala news 24) with the latest headlines instead of just a static caption - or is that quite difficult to do given the way BBC Choice is 'played out' of TVC?

I think like the website even more than the actual programme.

Its very light hearted and not too serious.

Also my comments are now proudly displayed in the 'S h i t e or alright' section. Now that is light hearted.

BTW, I put s h i t e like that else I knew it would get censored. If the BBC can put it on their website then I think TV Home can have it in its forum. Very Happy

Excuse me for saying this but I really can't see the point. It's seems a waste of electricity and the presenter for just 60 seconds. But then again, I guess 5 News have been doing this for several years.

Yep - as I said in my first message on this, there is an awful lot of content there, and it looks really nice.

I personally think its perhaps a bit too light hearted - which I suspect is why its not linked back from BBC News Online or anywhere else except Choice (or at least it wasn't earlier). If they removed a few of the things like 'if you can't be ****d to watch the news then check out the website' then presumably they could link it much more prominently. Its funny to read though.

I've also just realised that the website is updated with a new bulletin every hour - not every 2 hours. I presume that when BBC 3 gets official DCMS approval the TV bulletins will switch to hourly?

Having said that the BBC Choice website is very good, very quirky, and with free ring tones too !! I've now got Fraggle Rock on my phone.

I'm sure it was orginally stated that the updates would be hourly; I think this would be better as they are so short, and they cover different stories in each bulletin.  However it was also mentioned in the BBC's submission to the government that BBC3 would not start until 8.00 each evening, to make way for the older children's channel. Wouldn't 7.00 be a much better start time, as at present on BBC Choice?

Oh yes, and as the show itself, nice set and graphic, although I would turn the music bed down a little as it seemed the drown the presenters out a bit.
