The programme airs at 9pm on NYE, BBC2. The promo running right now has a stretched Batwings ident at the beginning which will look right on a 4:3 tv, but other footage has been cropped. I'm wondering if the programme will be in 4:3 or widescreen, remembering that the BBC News 50 programmes were 4:3.

er, should this be in the news forum? I'm not sure, as i was mainly wanting to post about the promo with the ident in it.

Does anyone in BBC Pres know for certain how long this bloomin' programme actually runs?

According to Radio Times, the original on New Year's Eve runs forty, but the repeat, next week, only runs thirty.

Rather disappointing I thought... was expecting a lot more from the show than a whole 40 minutes of archive extracts...

I thought it was a very poor show, I'd thought it be more of a documentary showing loads of BBC Weather clips, but I turned off after they showed the clips with the Great Storm of 1987.

There just weren't enough clips of certain regional forecasters for me.....

Well, totally different to what the Grauniad said it would be - the review mentioned that there would be features on graphics advances and on-air blunders Confused . Not that bad a show though.

I heard it was sometime this month, or at least this Spring. I'd imagine we'll know sooner to the date.

I was hoping it would document the change in weather graphics to make way for the new graphics which we were promised in November. instead this show just archived every BBC programme with the words 'rain' 'sun' or 'cloud'.
