Presumably the BBC would only have cleared rights for TX and iPlayer, rather than a viewer upload to YouTube.

If that's the Predator 2, surely it's a Venus flytrap masquerading as a cactus? Let it never be said that Two can't reinvent itself...

Refreshing to see some character and silliness in BBC Two pres again; an aspect that's been lacking in recent years.


A really nice long playout of the 40 Years symbol on BBC Two NI just earlier, too.

Before Ep.1, NI showed a mocked-up BBC2 1964 ident (NI variant).



As Paul Clark mentioned, BBC2 NI, before their 11:20pm showing of Ep.2, showed the BBC2 40th Anniversary ident to an extended length (approx 29"), and with a long delay before the continuity announcement (very welcome ).

Yes, why Network cannot make the effort to pull out a retro ident for use with a programme relevant to BBC2's 50th birthday is beyond me.

Pop Goes BBC TWO did contain brief snippets of past idents, though, including, from my favourite era (1991-2001): Blade, Paint, Garden, Powder, Aerial, Neon and Fluffy Dog.
