Did you agree with the winner? I certainly didn't Evil or Very Mad
Four Candles should have won Exclamation

Lou and Andy is funny but will this same 'joke' be funny in five years time?

I thought the Two Ronnies 'Four Candles' would've/should've been no1 - but this was voted for by the public!

I was annoyed at how many sketches featured were from A League Of Gentlemen!!! I didnt realise this was comedy sketch show and was a bit dubious on its inclusion in the programme. I also thought it was strange that there was a large amount of Channel 4 programmes like Smack the Pony, Absolutely, oh i cant even remember the name of the rest. One sketch from each of these would've been enough but there seemed to be too many from Channel 4 programmes!

Personally, I thought the Two Ronnies 'Mastermind' sketch was intelligent, very funny and classic. I thought there would've been a sketch from Naked Video and more from French and Saunders!

There was a distinct lack of ITV comedy aswell! Apart from spitting image I thought something from The Sketch Show or Hale and Pace would've turned up! Im sure there was a memorable Hale and Pace sketch - but i cant remember exactly what it was - there was a catchphrase to it aswell!

The programme was bareable as that guy with the plastic face, who presented Distraction, didnt present it!

Was it a Tyne Tees production?

I would have put Lenny Henry's Thriller in there as well.

I would have put Four Yorkshiremen at number one, that always makes me laugh.

Probably due to a distinct lack of comedy on ITV.

Agree though that one offering from Smack the Pony would have been enough, and there were many sketches on Big Train that were better than the Jockeys.

I think the biggest surprise was that Jimmy Carr wasn't presenting it. Maybe they decided that he wasn't appropriate for a programme about comedy. Wink

Agreed about the 'winner' though. Fork handles should definitely have won with Dead Parrot second.

Lou & Andy is VERY VERY VERY funny, not sure if its no.1 tho

Four candles, 4 yorkshiremen, mastermind all classics

4 Yorkshiremen and mastermind should definity of been much higher

Mastermind is the one that you just can't laughing for the whole thing..every line is a punchline.... that should have been number 1 surely

Little Britain's Lou and Andy No 1? Ok, I think its brilliant but not the greatest ever. Fork 'andles....

Chris Morris's Brass Eye was brilliant! Especially the Clive Anderson getting shot report - gets me everytime!

I think the most spookiest sketch in that list was Reeves and Mortimer's Masterchef sketch. Laughing

It was good to see League Of Gentleman in there because they were the precursor to Little Britain as far as I'm concerned.

I also would have gone for Four Candles, or possibly the Spanish Inquisition from Monty Python.

If I'd had to choose from Little Britain, it would definitely be the Pirate Memory Game Man / Mr. Man spin-offs ("but I don't have any arms or legs!") but these are probably far too tame for most people.

the show itself was appauling though as it hacked the sketches to bits and reoved all humour from them.

Surprised Masterchef wasn't higher as I find the sheer bizzareness of that one hysterical
