Might as well point out that 4music is currently graphicless. It actually helps show off what a superior channel it is in terms of video quality and going from song to song as opposed to some of the others.

Actually, all the Box channels have lost their graphics. Except Q oddly, which is currently claiming the adverts are number 16 in their gorillaz vs blur countdown. Woth nothing the Q logo is still animating despite the apparent crash.

I remember a couple of months after The Hits went to their second set of graphics (similar to the first, but anti-aliased and more flexible in terms of colour), I saw all the graphics revert back to the first set for some reason. Odd!!

Earlier 4Music was having aspect ratio issues as well, with letterboxed songs having only the bottom bar cropped off. Now it seems the ARC has been completely disabled.

As I write this the graphics have just returned, but seem to think the US Hot Shots Firing 50 are still on air. And now they've just disappeared again.

I do wish OFCOM would do something about extra on screen graphics. No problem with a channel DOG (or if it's something like T4, a strand DOG), but the ones with programme names are ridiculous - and those promoting programmes even worse (especially on Sky3 where they often promote Sky1 content!).

DOGs don't bother me but I think you have to draw the line somewhere. I think they ought to ban the use of colour- nothing worse than watching something on BBC3 or ITV2 which is quite dark and having a luminous logo in the corner. I think adverts/captions on E4 are harmless where they have 'E4' and 'Brand New' underneath or like the other year on the launch of Big Brother when the latest eye was in the corner on C4 but I hate how some channels squash the picture ever so slightly (Channel 4 and Sky are guilty of this) so they can advertise other things whilst programmes are on air.

Mmmm - do we need such regulation?
