How 4music has adapted the hits' graphics, is awful, by making them small, and unreadable.

It doesn't help that the "Flashbox" graphics are bright green.

I notice the music videos are in widescreen, yay, however the ad break seemed to flick in and out of widescreen. I had my telly on auto/panorama so I couldn't see if it was sending arc commands to the virgin box but I'll set it on pillarbox later and see if it does.

A surprise to see a 4-branded channel with black spaces between the adverts - one aspect of the channel I thought would have changed.

Has anybody else realised that today the break-bumper's background is bright pink, while last night it was dark pink?

It must be dark for nighttime programming and bright for daytime.

I've put together a few videos of the channel's idents and bumpers here.

Not comprehensive yet, but I'm working on it.

To answer several members questions about why 4Music showed Big Brother on Friday night, it was because there was a "music-themed" task to celebrate the launch of 4Music (Davina talked about the task at the end of the 2nd Eviction show) & it was meant to go from 11pm - 1am (Saturday,) but the task finished earlier than what 4Music expected, so they stayed with live streaming until 1am (don't know why though.)

Caught a bit of the V coverage yesterday.

Was it actually live, as they used this annoying cheering noise during some of the interviews & during the one Sugababes song, for which I assume somebody said something naughty/potentially libellous?

Also does the V coverage come from Essex, Weston Park or a mixture of both?

It was a rather stupid move considering it was a one-off appearance of Big Brohter on the channel, so really putting it at the heart of launch night gives people the wrong impression of the channel.

The head of 4 Music said it was simply an opportunity to plug the channel and push viewers to it at the end of Big Brother, but I'm sure like me most people didn't bother when they heard it was Rachel and Kat singing to Rachel's favourite songs.

I also wonder how many people watched Big Mouth then stayed with E4 for streaming and watched it there?

They should have done the HOH task live or something, that would have been an incentive to turn over.

Not a bad start, I enjoyed watching the V Festival yesterday, thought it was quite good. The graphics are OK, maybe a bit too small, but not bad. The idents set in a lift are rather boring though.

I wonder now the V Festival is done whether it'll basically just now be The Hits under a different name with the odd C4 programme. I think really they'd have been better off boosting their music coverage on their existing channels.
