You will now find tests for Channel 4 HD on Sky under the following settings

12.188 H

The test channel is called '4mix' and displays a new 4 hd logo with the some Channel 4 music playing

With the risk of sounding sad: what does the logo look like?! Is it just the C4 logo with HD at the side or something unique? Actually has the 4HD logo been released on the net yet?

EDIT: Ok, I've seen it now!

Although the still image and the picture quality doesn't really give it justice.

I reckon Channel 4 should use the 'Ready for duh hood' phrase from Fonejacker in adverts

Talking of Fonejacker, anyone seen that ITV phone scandal announcement, the announcer says "unclaimed moneys will be donated to charity". It just sounds like George Agdgdgwngo.

The same occured on Celebrity Big Brother when there was a voting problem. I never knew the term was used in real life. Laughing

It's monies, not moneys.

I assume the signal can only be picked up by HD boxes?

As this isn't in HD maybe its not a test for 4HD. I know thats what the graphics say but maybe those graphics are just there because they need to show something.

It would seem quite pointless to test a HD channel by showing it in SD, wouldn't it?

Who handles C4's coding, mux and uplink? Is it Arqiva (formerly NTL)?

When do C4 move to RedBee in W12 for playout? Do C4 have any HD playout at Horseferry Road, or will this be introduced when they move to Red Bee?

(Not sure who did the playout for the ITV HD cable trial, and the C4/ITV/Five Freeview trials?)
