There was quite a tedious report on The One Show about this at the start of the week about the launch of Breakfast Time, and their studio guest was TV-am launch presenter Angela Rippon who obviously went on to talk about TV-am, which wasn't really the subject of the feature.

Looking at those very early days, complete with contemporary sun logo, it's a bit of a shame that the modern programme looks not too disimilar to any generic BBC news bulletin. In 1977, YTV launched a six-week breakfast television experiment, Good Morning Calendar.
Good Morning Calendar is credited as being the UK's first breakfast television programme, six years before the launch of TV-am.
Tyne Tees did something similar - I assume launching on the same morning? I know very little about the content of their shows, or even who presented it.
