Picture's cut out on the snooker feed, and there's currently a "Temporary Fault" slide up (BBC Sport font, mostly black bg with four blue polygons fading out, large yellow "TEMPORARY FAULT", white "We apologise for the loss of picture. Normal service will resume shortly.")

Thought some people here might like to know.

Annoying that it had to happen during the deciding frame of a match, but there you go.

Whilst I dislike snooker, I can understand how frustrating that must be to lose picture during a time when anything could happen. How annoying. How long did it last?

black and white snooker in the 1960's was quite exciting Laughing

the most exciting thing to happen in snooker was when they cut off the 1980 final to show live footage of the Iranian embassy siege.

5-10 minutes, closer to ten - it had been going for a while before I made that post (initially a black screen with sound, then either the sound failed as well or they turned it off while trying to reinitialise the picture - before they put the fault slide up), and a couple of minutes afterward.

Annoying.

It wasn't just Freeview, the online stream suffered the same problem. But then it does appear to be fed by either a Freeview or Sky box, which has always struck me as somewhat backwards. Can't they get just the video stream without the blue MENU icon?

I know there's some half hour's difference, but you still beat me to it ...

Anyone else now finding it impossible to watch snooker without thinking of Mitchell & Webb's commentary antics!

Now, that's what interactive TV should be used for!
