300 METRES

Along with RHOD GILBERT I'm wondering why the 300 metres are not in the athletics at the Olympics?

300 metres is an informal distance in track and field, mainly used for stamina training for 200m athletes, and sprint training for 400m athletes. It is not contested on the world or olympic stage.

Rhod Gilbert is probably just saying this for comedic purposes, and I'm wondering the necessity for a completely new thread just to have answered a question you could have researched yourself.
