Would also have been nice if the '3' logo was in the same place on each channel with the 'e' or 'be' moving to either side of it. Also would have been nice if they were fully 16:9 safe.

Be3's DOG has finally appeared at 10am (it wasn't on at all from when programmes started at 7am)... and it has a HD tag included on Saorview.... oops.

There's also a warning of call and text lines being closed on Be3, but it is almost completely obscured by the Xposé DOG.

No sign of Be3 HD or 3e HD on Sky. Be3 has launched but only in standard definition and on the EPG has no listings available past 6pm. The HD tag is also showing on Be3 on Sky.

So far TV3 has only aired two idents and is now repeating them - Bridge (River Suir Bridge, Waterford) and clocktower (Rathmines Town Hall, Dublin). 3e is using two CGI idents (Red and orange).

be3 seems to only have one ident, the woman and child cooking.

Interesting that Virgin have 3e and be3 in HD yet both channels don't exist, so are they launching today I wonder...

It would be great if they actually launched on Saorview as well, along with TG4 HD.

Hardly surprising that the Virgin is giving its own customers the HD versions! It seems strange that they have removed one HD channel from Sky. Perhaps it's down to technical difficulties, who knows what they have up their sleeve! I was hoping 3e would launch in HD, to have a full selection of HD channels on the first page of my EPG Wink I don't think there is enough capacity to launch another HD channel on Saorview.

3e HD is at 105 and be3 HD is at 106 on Virgin Ireland. TV3+1 has been moved up to 110. There is no +1 for be3 currently.

Thanks.

No sign of 3e HD or be3 HD on Sky, so it looks like they might be keeping them exclusive. Makes sense, and a very good bargaining chip for future negotiations about making Sky Atlantic HD available on Virgin Media.

The new look on-air, and the new website, are a breath of fresh air.

They still need to work on the content, as it's now a 3 channel network, but it's a good start.

It's not really, since 3e and Be3 are both available in SD on Sky and Sky Atlantic isn't available on Virgin Media at all. Also Sky Atlantic has exclusive HBO shows whereas I struggle to think of anything exclusive on 3e and Be 3 (baring in mind Sky viewers can tune in ITV).

If one accepts Be3 as the continuation of UTV Ireland, does it make it only the second channel in the history of Sky Digital to actually remove its HD service from the platform. The only other example I can think of is the original S4C HD.
