I enjoyed the pilot episode before. Programmes like this that make fun of 'celebrities' can be amusing.

Shame it's only 10 minutes! There are 6 episodes in this new series, so that's 60 minutes- 1 hour- altogether. I say why not stick them all together and get a decent hour from prime time ITV for once.

You can't stick 'um together because they are supposed to be a satire of the week's news events. So, theoretically, we should have a Spitting Image-type programme which looks at the news.

Should be good, I'll watch it tonight and see

Hasnt 2DTV had a couple of series before?

No, just a pilot episode. I saw it and don't think that the cartoon characateurs have the same personality that the Spitting Image puppets had. But, Spitting Image is coming back soon!

I agree! We've needed something like for ages!!!

'If we need to get the terrorists, we need to bomb Terrorland' - Bush.

Shame its only 10 minutes.

BTW, the fantastic Jon Culshaw (from Radio 4's Dead Ringers fame) is doing some of the voices. Its really good.

'Goodnight Mr Hague...'

Oh Dead Ringers is fantastic! That's comedy!
TJ

'And what poor ravaged country is this?' - Blair
'England' - Straw - 'Savage dictatorship, transport and communication systems are primative' etc.

Need I say more! Razz:

Yeah it was great (slipping into the slightly illegal), did anyone tape it? Would you be able to encode and upload it? OK a bit cheeky but a collection in real of these would be great, the whole thang was excellant.

i thought 2d-tv was brilliant

it was a shame it lasted only 10 mintutes but think of the logistics of producing an upto date animation possibly with only hours to go to still be current - its virtually impossible!

it worked on every level this programme - the jokes were extremely well thought out, the animation was spot on and the voices were great aswell.

i feel if it did go on for half hour you would get into the same trap that spitting image fell into where certain items were fillers and dragged out just to fill the airspace!

I think this is what happened in the last series of Alistair McGowen's Impressions. Some sketches were obviously just there because they're the ones he does best.
