Almost ten years ago the BBC launched its 24 hour news channel, BBC News 24 (some time in autumn 1997). Initially it was on analogue cable only, but BBC1 did show (and still does show) coverage of it during the night.
I really think we ought to have a thread to discuss the presentation on BBC News 24 (B7). There's loads to mention. Every hour on the hour they have the countdown. Does anyone know where the scenes have been filmed? Various scene sequences have been used over the years. Is there really an ident as such for BBC News 24? Of course there's captions and astons.
ps This thread is NOT news related, it's to discuss the PRESENTATION, e.g. hourly countdowns, astons, etc. on BBC News 24, NOT the news currently being put on there, or the half-hour programmes at half past the hour e.g. It's Your Money, Click.
