why don't the bbc know their names of their own programmes? i found a tape yesterday of 20th century history on bbc learning zone's schools on the secondary schools menu they called it 20th century world!

Next time, try Words and Pictures instead. They have little songs teaching you how to use capital letters.

I did notice that last week on BBC TWO, the programme listed as Primary History (or was it Geography?! I clearly wasn't paying enough attention) was an old edition of Landmarks.

That was Look And Read, Words an Pictures has the pencil with the glowing end Smile

Magic Pencil was indeed in Words and Pictures, but so was the "Think Big!" song and many others by Derek Griffiths, including "Magic, Magic E" which some kids took far too literally.

Look and Read had a different drama story per series, and music by the Radiophonic Workshop.

Nope, Think Big and Magic E were definitely Look and Read stalwarts, as was Bill the Brickie:

I stand corrected. Mornings of Class TV have dulled my brain and they've all merged into one.
