ITV be glad they picked the third place play-off now. Probably their highest rating combination for the weekend.
It wont do well.
And the final is going to be lower than usual - I suspect 2-4 million on ITV and maybe 10-12.
Considering we always do badly in tournaments afterward odds are 2020 or 2022 wont see England qualify.
Lots of tweets blaming it on ITV so if we do qualfiry for Euro 2020 expect that to be picked up before the tournament.

Noticeably, WWIII also hasn't broken out (yet anyway).

I guess we're rooting for Wales now. Oh, wait...
By rights you should be rooting for France now. That's how this works isn't it? When your team gets knocked out you root for the one you share a border with?

Mate, seriously, you make Cityprod look sane.
Are ITV rolling until 22:30 or will they wrap up and pick up the schedule on time?

You're a miserable get aren't you! The final will undoubtedly do better than it would have done if England hadn't done so well and no doubt England's journey will feature heavily in the coverage on both sides (and frustratingly the commentators will declare that England would have won the whole thing if they didn't get knocked out - they do that when they go out at the group stage too!)
What I've seen no mention of in the media rather surprisingly is Euro 2020, which is being played across Europe but with the semis and finals at Wembley, as well as at least two groups games for England should they qualify (probably three as I can't see them risking an England game in Glasgow unless it is versus Scotland). Indeed with the tournament split across 13 countries I don't think it's even common knowledge that 4-5 of the potential 7 games England would play would be at Wembley.
