Thought I’d share this. Telemundo (owned by NBCU) and the New York City FC setup a pitch and two large LED screens with bleacher seating so people can watch the World Cup matches right out front of 30 Rock.
Its almost as if there are people of other nationalities / descended from those of other nationalities / have links with other countries, who live in the USA (especially New York).
Or that people may want to watch matches that don't involve the country they live / are from. England didn't quality for World Cup 1994 or Euro 2008, the ratings here were still very good for both tournaments.
To put that into perspective, ITV's highest peak for 20 years. And highest football peak in the UK since 2004.

Update- Counter terror police investigating now so looking more plausible it could be Russian linked and that I would suspect trigger the Foreign office to declare Russia as a country not save to travel/ be in if not actually declaring war. It seems increasingly likely we wont actually get the England v Sweden match on Saturday.

If it is declared that Russia were behind it the government would have to seriously consider declaring war on Russia- the Foreign office advice would immediately be only essential travel and the FA would rather quickly declare their following governmental advice and leaving Russia. Id rate the chances of England's exit from the world cup being withdrawing and forfeiting a match rather than losing a match as increasing every minute. And that would probably see England banned from qualifying for 2022.

Are you seriously suggesting the UK could unilaterally declare war on Russia in the next few days? That is never going to happen no matter the result of the latest possible poisoning.

A few pages ago we were seemingly about to declare war on the USA as the ref last night wasn't very good.
