STV need to get over themselves really.

I doubt STV even complained - there's no evidence they did, except for a guess from another poster here, and now they should "get over themselves". Geez, chill out.

They've only complained in the past when Scottish viewers were referred to ITV's digital channels or catch-up player - which have become an increasing source of revenue for them. As their new boss said recently, they have a settled, stable relationship with ITV.

I like how we went from "maybe it's STV's fault" to "STV need to get over themselves" in ten posts!

Don't think it's been posted yet - where have the ITV4 games been presented from?

From what we know of the Round of 16 so far, and the games still to come, I expect that ITV's first 2 picks will obviously be England and I think Uruguay v Portugal on Saturday night is probably the next most appealing.

With the BBC going for France v Argentina third.

No way Uruguay v Portugal would be chosen over France v Argentina. That is surely the tie of the round and if ITV have second pick now Brazil v Germany is out of the equation I wouldn't be surprised if they confirm it.

France v Argentina is 3pm. The Saturday night match would be bigger.
