I preferred it when the score bar just said 'ITV'. I also would have preferred it without the ITV DOG as it's overkill.

I suspect STV were responsible for the change, having it labelled just ITV north of the border would cause angst. Having it labelled ITV Sport who are the producers gets over this.

STV should have been given a clear feed so they could overlay a STV scoreboard instead.

If STV were prepared to pay for a seperate circuit from Russia I'm sure that could be arranged. Alternatively they could have put their own DOG over it.

Are we the only country where the rights holder actually covers more that one nation that are possible to qualify for the World Cup?

I’m thinking this, because they keep showing coverage in other countries where the commentators and/or presenters go mental when their team scores, whereas here they always have to keep a slight element of being calm and neutral to satisfy viewers not in England. Of course that element can vary in how prominent it is.

STV don't get any say really over what they get anymore. They pay a pre-determined fee for the entire ITV Network schedule. STV just basically now get what they are given.

They are ITV's rights, it's an ITV Sport production and badged as such, STV get them as an affiliate.

Do STV even contribute to the rights fee?

Presumably factored into the pre-determined rate that they pay to ITV.

Maybe the scoreboard should be on the main feed minus logo like the 6 nations ?

I assume the ITV Sport logo is seen in Scotland there anyway.

STV need to get over themselves really - They've shown ITV Sport for decades and they're not going to lose a single penny for the logo being on screen throughout.
