RTE doing the double header this afternoon on RTE 2 and RTE News Now seems to be the norm for this group of the tournament's fixtures.

Striking just how murky ITV4 SD is on Freesat after a couple of weeks of BBC1 and ITV HD. (edit: Forgot which platform I checked ITV4 on...)

Are the BBC offering both of their games in the final group stages on UHD or just the BBC1 game?

We did get about a minute of the studio but it quickly went back to the Temporary Fault caption again.
It's just come back on at 18:47

BBC4 will be showing Spain VS Morocco tomorrow at 7pm

While I’m no fan of the usual match pre amble, this programme will start at the moment of kick off, although they may manage to start at 18:58, and ditch the ‘BBC 4 starts at 7’ caption, as the changeover from Cbeebies is about 18:57

Not too unexpected solution .... Start buildup at 1845 on Red Button.

Sadly since it swapped muxes BBC4 HD has been more vulnerable to losing its signal for me. Surprising really they've never swapped it (and CBeebies) with CBBC. For another thread but long overdue a HD switchover to get all the BBC HD channels on one PSB MUX.

Yeah, BBC Four started at 18.58 tonight. Straight into an ident, a shortened version of the titles -- literally a few seconds! -- brief introduction from Salford, then over to the match just as the world feed was finishing showing the final team line-up graphic. On air to kick off in under 2 minutes -- not bad!

They managed to miss the last ten minutes of the first half of Spain v Morocco due to a (completely unacknowledged) technical fault. Meanwhile the audience goes over to BBC Four.

Also while Ger Canning was down to do commentary, it appears they are now taking the world feed instead. That might not have been the case before the fault because they had a scorebar then and they don’t now.

Half time on the BBC feels like an eternity. I don't really get why people moan about the ads on ITV - cutting down the analysis by half isn't necessarily a bad thing.

And also they never spend the full 15 mins doing analysis on the match in question. They run other bits to fill the time

RTE back with Ger Canning and the scorebar now.
