Sounds from what I’ve read UHD HDR isn’t quite ready for primetime online distribution.

That’s why it’s a trial, and not a service at present. How else would you stress test a new system such as this ?

Discount those using Virgin Media and / or Wi-fi before making any judgements. Out this evening but otherwise, aprt from a very occasional bit of buffering, it’s been great.

I was clearly too late to try the HDR, I'm only getting 720p.

Ditto - Tonight has been exceptional, together with a bit of picture adjustment (Brightness - Enhanced and Colour - reduced) it's passed with flying colours.

Also been great on TRT4K which is FTA on satellite. PM me if you want me to send some clips which I've uploaded to Google Drive.

How do I add it on Sky?

In the shot of Gary celebrating the second goal there, the blue roof seemed to have been replaced by a lighting grid!

Its on 42E so yo would need to move your dish and use an FTA box which support 4K too.

Suspect they used a bit of TV trickery to superimpose a lighting grid over the blue roof. Wink

As it was FTA anyway, here is the Kane winner in 4K from TRT4K

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1J8-ruzWf89AYeEh0CAZb39I_ZT4ANPPU/view?usp=drivesdk

Warning it's almost 600MB for 2 minutes and you need a fast CPU or GPU capable of decoding it to watch it without stuttering. Choose to Download it as I don't think the Drive internal player will show it in 4K.

The video played fine in MPC-HC, but did seem juddery for 49.95fps with my monitor set at 50Hz.

The detail however is amazing and that's using a 1920x1080 monitor!

Are the BBC doing any 4K highlights or clips in addition to live coverage of their matches?
