The game was a shambles. The feed was a shambles. The pundits are shambles.
May I suggest we vote to change the meaning of shambles in the dictionary to 'France v Australia, 2018 World Cup'?

As Brekkie pointed out, it was a bit of a mess at 3-2 in the Spain-Portugal match.
The list format at half-time and full-time has the potential to get messy, too, since players who score two or more goals are listed that number of times instead of just once (Ronaldo was listed three times at the end of the Spain-Portugal match, of course, and Diego Costa twice). Imagine if a team scores eight goals with one of its players getting four, another getting two and two more getting one each...
But of course, outside of TVF, the graphics won't generate anywhere near as much discussion as VAR decisions.
In the France - Australia match at 2-1 the Australian Scorer remained on screen, whereas the two French scorers names were scrolled horizontally.

Nothing will beat the 'shambles' of Brazil v Germany, 2014 World Cup.

And the scoreboard problem on ITV with the uneven gaps has also been corrected - through the subtitles are currently covering it anyway.

'decision'
It was very quick after losing the studio to cut to the feed of the fans in the stadium which then itself fell over.
Interesting decision to presumably play the next scheduled event (fade into a Radio 1 trailer) than a breakdown slide.

The big question is why does BBC even have live feed to that match when It's really on ITV. I know It's on replay later on but still

Answered your own question.
As rights holders, the BBC get feeds of all the games.
It also means they can do their own highlights package, rather than nicking the footage of ITV, and starting the highlights of the game with a 'Pictures From ITV Sport' caption.
