The difference though with the Paralympics is that locals may be able to afford the tickets.

I'm imagining the Rio Olympics aren't going to be seen as a massive success in retrospect.

The games hardly ever are in retrospect. As a sporting spectacle though it's been fantastic from the armchair but from the local perspective they could probably do with a bit more Brazilian success to kick things up a gear - only 4 medals so far from just Judo and Shooting, with most of their remaining expectant medals to come from events at the end of the games.

I take it Channel 4 won't be asking Ortis to present the Paralympic coverage from the Stadium.

If you're talking about Ortis, he had come from Live and Kicking so should have been expected to be a safe pair of hands on live TV. He's been a Gadget Show regular since.
