The games hardly ever are in retrospect. As a sporting spectacle though it's been fantastic from the armchair but from the local perspective they could probably do with a bit more Brazilian success to kick things up a gear - only 4 medals so far from just Judo and Shooting, with most of their remaining expectant medals to come from events at the end of the games.

If you're talking about Ortis, he had come from Live and Kicking so should have been expected to be a safe pair of hands on live TV. He's been a Gadget Show regular since.
