So thats Rio 2016 complete. Great stuff from C4 and somewhat appropriate the credits just listed everyone involved in alphabetical order rather than by their role.

No confirmation yet on future rights but C4 very much talking as if they'll be in Tokyo during last nights coverage.

Yes excellent coverage from Channel 4 for the Paralympics and I hope they are back in 2018 for the Winter Paralympics as well as the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

For me the presenters were better for this than London 2012 and actually being based in the Olympic Park helped them, Clare Balding was exceptional as were the analysts she was working with and having presenters such as Jonathan Edwards and Lee McKenzie worked well and Sophie Morgan and JJ Chalmers were excellent together, I think Arthur Williams was again excellent but for me Ade Adepitan was the weak link of the presenters. The commentary was again excellent with the Athletics trio of Rob Walker, John Rawling and Katherine Merry working well as were Swimming with Giles Long being impressive. Simon Brotherton also did excellent as he did at the Olympics.

The Last Leg being on every evening again was a masterstroke as with London 2012 and the Paralympic specials have been better than the last few series of the show, Alex Brooker's speech on Alex Zanardi was one excellent moment from the show which could be funny and heartfelt in the same show.

Was really impressed by The Last Leg, putting it on at 8pm in a pre-watershead slot was a masterstroke, albeit forced due to the time differences and the 'tea time lull' in the Rio schedules. The presenters needed to work hard and not resort to smut and innuendo to fill airtime. It was all the better for that. An award surely should be winging it's way.

My hero presenter was RJ Mitte, who clearly was flummoxed to start with, then went with thw flow with ease. Magnificent, dropping ads for the closing ceremony won many brownie points from me too.

The studio was much better this time with the view of the park and the presenters added to the mix were great on the whole - certainly an improvement on Georgie Bingham. I'm surprised RJ Mitte wasn't used a bit more on The Last Leg especially but his contributions were great. Johnny Vegas though really added so much to it - he got completely engrossed in the event and it was a pleasure to enjoy it with him.

I wasn't a fan of the two presenters who hosted later in the afternoon, they often came across as quite inexperienced. I also hated the commentary during the doubles tennis final the other night.

Other than that, truly faultless as far as I'm concerned. Loved watching it every night, more so than London in fact. Such a shame we'll have to wait at least four more games till they're back in a decent time zone for us.

Oh hang on, just watching the closing ceremony and they're reading tweets over the bands performing. Why?

Couldn't quite make up my mind on the tennis commentary - went from absolutely hating it to kind of loving how biased it was at times. Was annoying though the singles final fell in the two hours they didn't broadcast live sport.
