Found this 1H8_W7yv2vk There is a BBC2 continuity announcer, and quite rare to see Play Away from 1974 ( the end of the show also on You Tube ). It has been uploaded by one of the band.

Talking of promotion in ads, what's the deal with the BBC (logo and homepage) being quite prominently featured in the Internet Explorer 9 advert? Would Microsoft need to seek permission, could the BBC have been courting for the free promotion?

Is British style continuity unique?

That second one is the perfect station ident, as far as I am concerned. This is what British TV companies should be aiming for. Keep the station announcers by all means, but remove them from the pre-programme ident.

Indeed, Children's, CPR, Transmission, Central News have all been reshuffled. As has the Central management suite and board rooms - now owned by 22GS, likewise Studio East they let as a TV studio OR office!
