NBC now will be providing some coverage of the games though it will be extremely limited and will mainly be on a YouTube channel:

So four hours on the NBC Sports channel, a daily highlights show online and a 90 minute highlights package of the entire competition shown a week later in the afternoon on NBC. Those lucky Americans!

And this is from BBC News, it'll be shown in more places around the world than any previous games:

The C4 HD DOG has now moved to the top right. EPG still seems to list C4 shows though rather than C4 HD coverage.

Also will 304 show anything tonight, or like the Olympics will it not be used to reserve bandwidth for C4 HD during the ceremony?

Also looking at the listings for the extra channels (now on Digiguide) it seems two of the three will show Athletics and Swimming in full in the mornings and evenings (while C4 switches between the two), with Track Cycling also in full and then it's pretty much Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Basketball.

Bit of Gaffer/Duck/Duct/Black tape to cover up the mistake on that 4 logo in studio then...

A bit disapointing the studio is closed in in the IBC and not with a real view like on the BBC.

A timetable of the events on the three extra channels is now playing there on a loop.

Oh. The 1st extra channel just cut very briefly to test bars and then some Spanish channel. Confused

Hope those scribbles of the events in the background aren't an indicator as to what C4's coverage will be like? Laughing

The channel numbers (well for Virgin anyway) are the wrong way round too, with the HD numbers being listed as the SD ones.

I thought that could just of been here that they were wrong (On Virgin).

I wish they'd get rid of the horrible "Press Red" on the top right of the screen though (something smaller like the BBC use would have been fine) as when you press it, it only lets you change between the 3 channels (rather than the BBCs list of varying events) - you can do the same by pressing the + & - buttons on your remote control.

Can you not hit Back to (temporarily) banish the interactive icon or is it burnt in (c.f. the red button icon on Sky Sports F1 during races)?

If I hit back it takes me to the last channel I was on, the only way to get rid of it that I can see is press the OK button and keep the EPG on screen, but obviously that's more annoying than the press red.
