I think they would probably wait until half time to report something like the above. There is a soccer ball game on, you know.
Jesus, my heart skipped a beat when they did that fake news flash during the BBC1 build up! For a split second I thought the queen was dead or there'd been a terrorist attack or something!

On June 25, 2010, at 4 PM in Durban, 3 PM in Lisbon and London, and 11 AM in Brazil, there is a big match between Portugal and Brazil. That is, a big match between the former ruler and is former colony.
In Portugal, RTP1 and RTP HD are going to screen the match live, and in Brazil, Rede Globo and Bandeirantes will do. So, it is worth to compare between Portugal's and Brazil's broadcasts for language, manner and graphics. (Portuguese language in Portugal and Brazil are quite different.)

I notice that the 'other' game on BBC Red Button doesn't have any BBC graphics on it. I wonder why.
EDIT: It is also clean online too...

EDIT2: Is it just me or is the England game in silence online?

Same here. Should the BBC really be doing that in the middle of a live programme?

Lucky online viewers. I thought Motty was bad, but the BBC commentary is as bad as ever this afternoon.

They were missing for most of the first half, and the beginning of the second half.

Didn't some say that the BBC would have first pick? and I think the BBC said it would be LIVE with them on Sunday... and if IT carrys on like the papers have said (England tend to do better on the BBC) then it could be the best choice
So I guess this means ITV get the next England match then. Good luck everybody!

and I believe that in the unfortunate event England get knocked out, the BBC get both Semi's.
It's definitely BBC - the split is layed out very clearly here covering all possible permutations.
Basically, BBC have all remaining England games, R16 and QF exclusively, sharing an England semi-final with ITV.

No that's if they go through, they will share one and show one exclusively. The BBC get first pick if there is no England involvement however.
The 3rd and 4th place play off will be on ITV exclusively though even if this does include England.
