Interesting... I think I know why Emmerdale got lower ratings on Christmas Day, the majority of the comments on my Emmerdale video said they missed it, which is suggesting ITV's boo boo in their scheduling.

ITV had to put something up against Doctor Who though, they didnt really have a lot of choice what it would be - either Em or Corrie.

Exactly, if they've have put Emmerdale on at 6, like they've done before, there wouldn't be enough time to show Harry Potter between The Queen and 6pm, plus it would have clashed with EastEnders then

Yes, ITV were put in an impossible situation. Emmerdale held up quite well considering what it was up against.
