True, maybe they should just forget about the 6.8 million viewers who watched it?

They are counting the Strictly Come Dancing preview as a seperate programme which is questionable, it was actually only on for less than 10 minutes

Less than 10 minutes, like the Queen's speech was or Creature Comforts, but still a programme.
As for the ratings, well thank god EE arent number 1. I expected Corrie to be less than EE on Christmas Day but at least most other weeks of the year Corrie are number 1.

I thought BARB only counted programmes over a certain length, which is why the bloody lottery keeps being dragged on and on rather than just getting on with the draw, so it's long enough to register.

I always thought we went by the share not the Millions?
Anyway I'm glad The Vicar of Dibleys going out on a high it was a fantastic episode i just hope it stays the same next week too.
I'm Also glad EastEnders managed to keep its share after the bbc foolishly split both Episodes

Foolishly? They've done that for years (last year excluded).
Yes, the BBC have always split EastEnders at Christmas. 2004 and 2005 were the only years that I can remember them not doing it.
Good ratings all round. EastEnders undeservedly so - I can't see that many viewers coming back after last nights poor episodes. I am so happy Corrie beat Strictly and Doctor Who - I didn't think it would.

Don't forget these are just overnights. Corrie beat Doctor Who in the overnights last year, but when the final results were announced the position was reversed.

Yes, but the gap is much larger this year. There's no chance of Doctor Who adding a million in the officials, is there?
