Id go with that aswell, altho I'm one of the select few who actully leaves the family/room when Eastenders/Cornation Street/Emmerdale comes on (Well I'l have to go to my own room for Doctor Who anyhow)
Being that it's scheduled against Who, DOND's not gonna get anywhere near that, I think. It'll be lucky if it's the highest rated episode ever, the current record being 4.66 million for one back in March.

But there is two epoisde on Xmas day
The first one is after the Queen's speech which usually does very well for BBC One, so they're definitely going to have a strong lead in for the next show. No doubt DOND will do very well, but I can't see it getting anything like 6 million viewers.
You missed out Strictly Come Dancing. The show attracted nearly 12 million people last night so I can see the Christmas special doing very well.
The only problem is that it's scheduled against Corrie and so I feel many would the prefer that instead of Strictly Come Dancing. Not that i have anything against the show.

I wouldn't be so sure. Last night's final made it the most watched show of the week, beating the usual winner Coronation Street - plus last year Doctor Who beat Corrie on Xmas Day and with that as a lead in, we may get a surprising result on Christmas Day.

Deal or no Deal will underperform on Christmas Day. It'll be around 2 to 3m. ITV1 barely gets a look in with Corrie/Emmerdale so Channel 4 will have no chance
7.00pm-8.00pm Doctor Who V Emmerdale - Doctor Who will win and as a result Emmerdale will take a severe drop in ratings
8.00pm-9.00pm - Corrie V SCD - Corrie will win, but only just. SCD is popular and will inherit a lot of viewers from Doctor Who.
9,00pm-9.30pm - EE V Doc Martin - EE will win as they always do on Christmas Day
9.30pm - Vicar of Dibley V Doc Martin - Vicar of Dibley will win
So EE will probabaly get the highest figures, and quite frankly I dont care - Christmas week is 1 week out of 52, and for most of the other 51 weeks Corrie is the most watched TV programme let alone most watched soap so that speaks volumes.
