Just thought I'd add that the first of six semi-finals will take place tonight.
They've only got 54 songs to choose in the semi-finals(!).

Joel: That's -just- the latvian one. This is what i'm on about though - they have 54 entires screened to the public in 6 heats... then they have two 9 song shows from what I understand, with a final of 4.

We get 10 songs to choose from out of over 200 [usually] entires. How crap is that

Well I received an e-mail the other day from the head of Eurovision and they've unveiled their new logo. This logo will be used every single year from now on, instead of changing.

Firstly, I'm disappointed, I always thought each country having their own logo was good, and they could incorporate it onto the straps and presentation as they wanted.

Now they are stuck with this monstrosity, aptly titled "Crossroads au Eurovision".

I love the Eurovision! We have eurovision parties with scoresheets and everything! We have a highlighted country on each sheet and if that country wins we win money aswell as winning if we get the winning country with our scores. I do think that Germany, France, spain and UK should go through each year as these countries invest large sums of money into it. Why invest if not entered. it's all good cringemaking fun!
