I know my threads are usually gobbledygook but I think this might be a serious thread.
EDIT: and also my threads divebomb.
What have been the highlights and lowlights of this year TV wise?
Highlight: BBC News 24 relaunching
Lowlight: Why so late in the year?
Now it is over to you to fill in the rest of the 2003 TV year.
Highs: The Iraqi war coverage. Whatever the rights or wrongs of the war, the news coverage rose to new levels not seen before IMO.
Lows: Friendly TV, You TV, Showcase, Classics TV, Open Access, all 342 shopping channels, TXT channels, Christian channels (just plain scary!) Game in TV, L!VE TV's comeback, MTV Dance turning into an R'n'B channel, Nation 277, and Sky Movies new idents.
Highs: The Rise & Rise of Freeview, Little Britain
Lows: ITV1's **** poor schedule, Junior Eurovision
My God. Junior Eurovison. I had forgot about that. Truly car crash TV of the highest order. Just why does ITV1 keep giving Tara Palmer Tomkinson (sp?) work?
Highs: Harry Hill's TV Burp, The Sketch Show, Baddiel and Skinner, The Booze Cruise, Coronation Street, Brookside, Bo Selecta, Dead Ringers, UK G2, ITV News' Iraq War coverage, Granada Reports' relaunch (Though the graphics are awful the show has improved) and England winning the Rugby World Cup
Lows: RI:SE (MK II), Top Of The Pops relaunch, Anything to do with David Beckham, Countdown being moved to 3.15pm, Big Brother, Fame Academy and Any Reality show on ITV.
