Great to see the 2 Ronnies in good health. Nice to see some good comedy on TV again, even if much of it is vintage stuff.

Thank god most of it was "vintage". The new stuff was embarrassing - even more cringe worthy then Brucie on Strictly Come Dancing

Whatever happened to Ronnie Barker saying, years ago, that he had retired and wouldn't do television again (IIRC).

Or is it the usual case of the lure of the pound notes?

Why was it shot in widescreen? Although I like watching wide, i don't like watching croped up pictures. Why can broadcasters never get it right?

IIRC it wasn't the BBC's idea this time, when they did the BAFTA tribute to him last year he and Ronnie Corbett mentioned the idea and they were both up for it.

Good idea really, why on a Friday night? Wouldn't a Saturday be more of a better slot for The Two Ronnies?

It was good to see them on TV, even if it was old material.

What will be interesting though will be seeing the viewing figures tomorrow. It's gonna be the oldies who stay in of a friday that watch it. I think we might get some unexpected viewing figures.

Wouldn't about three in the morning on a Wednesday be a better slot for yet more boring repeats?

Not THIS oldy; I avoided it like the plague.

I watched Jamie's School Dinners off tape to fill the hour between Gardeners' World and Grumpy Old Women.

I agree. I see your point there! Laughing

Great show! Its just a friendly old vintage comedy show that we have been in need of recently! Brilliant. Even if the 'newsdesk' bits were cringeworthy. Laughing

As I'm not a fan of football, I think this should be scheduled on a Saturday Night in the old Parky slot.

Laughing As if that's ever going to happen.

I'm really surprised that it appears to have gone down so well with the "young'uns".

I suppose you're not old enough to have already seen the material nine-hundred-and-thirty-three times.
