Yes, but the ITV Generic 1989 idents were using the preceeding idents as the front caps. Tyne tees had a yellow background on their preceeding ident, other had a blue and others black... LWT white...

Yorkshire had a blue fade to black - so blue was used on the generic one. I think this inspired the change to a full blue background when YTV dropped generic branding.
