I was expecting Steve Jones from The Pyramid Game.

The 'studio' was inside the tower. It keeps moving up and down as the different levels of the tower are used.

That must be bloody expensive if true.

Did anyone think when they are swinging on that circular contraption with the hole in the floor that when they got the question wrong they would just drop, not actually be lowed down to the ground?

Also how long is the run for this? They won't go though 101 different options to get kicked off the show can they?

It's eight episodes, and based on tonight's show they will cover a maximum of 48 ways to leave a gameshow - but I'd be amazed if there were not any repeats.

As I haven't seen it, I recorded it in case it is something to miss, it depends how many different ways they leave per show, one possibility is Yes

EDIT: TV Guide say tonight's was 1 of 8
EDIT2: Beaten to it

What is it with these gameshows being produced in Argentina ? Why there ?

Do Endemol have some cheap production facilities out there or something.

I'm not sure I believe that. The continuity between the studio and the outside didn't make it seem like it. It's obviously not the most spontaneous programme, all the rigging and de-rigging of the stunts must take a while, it must take at least a whole day

Apologies for the huge file below, but this shows how the 'set' moves within the "101 Tower".

I would think there are cheap production facilities there, plus the weather is more favourable than most other locations.

If it wasn't for everything ending in a pool, and everything involving falling or being dropped [there are ways of being thrown upwards BBC, not just downwards] it 'could' have potential. It's the BBC's attempt at heading towards a Health & Safety edition of Takeshi's Castle basically, but with Weakest Link music thrown in.

Endemol have a big production base there which I think was originally set up for Fear Factor.

As a supporter of the licence fee, I do cringe when I see trashy programmes like this on the BBC. It's not original, distinctive, quality, or something which couldn't be done in the commercial sector, and simply gives ammunition to those who want the fee scrapped.

With the BBC trying to justify every penny of its existence at the moment, I don't understand how they think spending money on crud like this is acceptable. They need to leave that kind of drivel to ITV.
